Screening Reports
I provide screening reports offering an initial, independent assessment of the merits of a case. These reports are based on a review of the available clinical records and are intended to identify potential issues relating to diagnosis, treatment planning, standard of care, and possible breach of duty. Screening reports help instructing parties determine whether a case warrants further investigation or a full expert report.
Breach of Duty Reports
I provide breach of duty reports assessing whether the care provided met the expected standard of a reasonably competent practitioner. This includes evaluation of diagnosis, treatment planning, execution, and follow-up, based on the available clinical records and current professional standards.
Causation Analysis
I provide causation analysis assessing whether any identified breach of duty has directly contributed to the patient’s condition or outcome. This involves evaluating the relationship between the treatment provided and the alleged harm, considering alternative explanations and the natural progression of the disease.
Condition and Prognosis
I provide assessment of the patient’s current condition and likely future outlook, including stability, progression, and anticipated treatment needs, based on clinical records and accepted standards of care.
Court-compliant Reports
I prepare reports in full compliance with CPR Part 35: clear, structured reports in accordance with applicable legal standards and duties to the court, ensuring independence, objectivity, and transparency in all opinions provided.
Court Attendance
I am available to attend court to provide oral expert evidence, presenting my opinions clearly and objectively and assisting the court on matters within my expertise.
I act in accordance with my duty to the court and provide independent, unbiased opinion.
